Cynthia L. Dunn joins MGMA as senior consultant
Cynthia L. Dunn has joined the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Healthcare Consulting Group as a senior consultant. Dunn has 30 years of experience in healthcare, 18 years of experience in management as an administrator of two private medical practices, and six years of experience working in nursing management at a hospital-owned physician practice. Her expertise in healthcare management covers business operations and revenue-cycle management, medical-office building and ambulatory surgery-center construction, strategic planning, and information-technology systems. Formerly, Dunn was president of MGMA's Orthopedic Practice Assembly and has served as a consultant for orthopedic practices across the U.S.
Business Objects introduces ACP Program
Business Objects, a supplier of business-intelligence (BI) solutions, recently launched its Authorized Consulting Partner (ACP) Program, a program designed for resellers and solution providers. The ACP Program develops and identifies partners to work with Business Objects Global Services on enterprise accounts. The world's leading BI software company, Business Objects, has dual headquarters in San Jose, CA, and Paris, France. The new program will guarantee that the company will be able to consistently meet definite levels of customer satisfaction. Huron Consulting purchases Callaway Partners
Huron Consulting Group, Inc., a financial and operational advisor for businesses, has purchased Callaway Partners, LLC, a firm focused on finance and accounting project-management solutions. As part of the $60 million deal, Huron will acquire all of the assets of Atlanta-based Callaway Partners. In addition, Callaway's 56 full-time employees and 300 project-based consultants will become part of Huron's consulting practice. The deal is expected to begin increasing earnings by 2008. Huron will most likely expand Callaway Partners' business model geographically with emphases on Houston and New York.
