Responsibilities

Humana, Inc. seeks an Analytics Consultant in Louisville, KY.

Duties: Collaborate with business partners to identify and understand the business and clinical issues and translate these issues into quantitative questions; Design scientifically valid pilots and initiative to address business needs or questions; Explore relevant data sources to understand what outcomes can be measured; Coordinate the integration of data to determine clinical and economic trends and impact; Work with complex health care databases to produce statistical output and interpret results; Report results for pilots and initiative through presentations, plus potentially abstracts and publications; Clearly communicate insights and analytical findings to abroad range of business partners.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Bioengineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience in a related role. Requires at least 2 years of experience in the following: conducting studies such as randomized controlled trials or observational studies etc., including components such as study design, analysis and presentation of results; and creating data visualizations to communicate insights from data, using Excel, SAS

or R.

Requires at least 1 year of experience in the following: analyzing data using various statistical techniques, including descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, etc.; epidemiologic concepts including confounding, interaction, bias, as well as methods to reduce bias; and conducting experimental studies in an applied healthcare setting.
