Aon serves clients from offices in Chicago, New York, London, Rotterdam, Singapore, Sydney, and Hong Kong and works with experts from Aon's global network of more than 600 offices in 120 countries.We work with our clients to understand their objectives, address their challenges, develop a deep understanding of market conditions and issues, and create strategies that drive growth opportunities and competitive market advantages. This role can be located in Chicago, New York, Texas , California or Virtual Chicago ,New York ,Texas or California regions.  The Senior Technology Strategy Consultant will:Understand Aon’s business and revenue model, and how technology can support business objectives.  Assist Aon’s IT organization with converting corporate strategy into technology strategy.Have a general understanding of broad technology strategy and the technology provider space (e.g. key vendors, services, and technology trends).Have an ability to traverse executive layers to present initial thoughts, obtain feedback, and establish positions that will generate wide scale strategic alignment in a cross functional role across multiple teams. Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.Demonstrate strong executive level verbal, written, and presentation communications. At all times be able to articulate to different audiences what the technology organization is doing, why it is being done and how it is being done. Strong presentation skills including the ability to synthesize information and bring a message forward. Apply lessons learned from the previous cycle’s strategic planning and the extent to which it translated into implementation.Experience driving change management in order to socialize and gain acceptance of strategic direction.Contribute to budgeting analyses and discussions to ensure that the strategic direction is within funding allocations.Review strategy to ensure that it is achievable and address any roadblocks that may put the strategy at risk.Develop a communication plan to ensure that all leaders and colleagues are informed on the technology strategy.Develop and/or evaluate Business Cases (quantitative and qualitative) to support strategic business initiatives, process improvement initiatives, or IT transformation.Refine and implement processes around identification of strategic goals within each technology function.Develop and communicate a holistic viewpoint on all planned strategic initiatives to recommend how to leverage synergies between different technology functions. Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.Develop practical roadmaps that support the enabling of technology transformationImplement processes to measure progress against the strategy.Act to resolve issues which impede the team form accomplishing goals.Utilize relationships to influence leaders in achieving strategic goals.Provide reporting on strategic progress to the CIO.You Bring Knowledge and Expertise:Strong Analytical abilities.Experience developing technology strategy.Ability to collect, model, and analyze data.Proficiency in Excel.Executive level communication skills.Experience utilizing PowerPoint for executive presentations.Working within a matrixed, global structure.Ability to build strong relationships across departments and at different levels of an organization.Ability to perform well under pressure, on multiple workstreams, and with tight deadlines.Working knowledge of how IT departments work with and relate to corporate departments.Ability to travel as needed.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree required.Master’s degree preferred.10 years of relevant experience in technology.5 years of technology strategy and corporate strategy experience.Consulting experience preferred.Insurance experience preferred.We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization. Our Colleague Experience:From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.  They make a difference, work with the best, own their potential, and value one another.  This is the Aon Colleague Experience, defining what it means to work at Aon and realizing our vision of empowering human and economic possibility.
