About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Analytics Consultant in the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence supporting the Data Analytics and Quality Control Team. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com .
Primary responsibilities for this role include utilizing database knowledge and business process to perform advanced data analysis to accurately identify populations of customers that require remediation and also to calculate the refund, account adjustment or other resolution. This role will support multiple lines of businesses across the enterprise.
In this role, you will:
Act as a top subject matter expert to lead model development, data strategies, and analytical models with companywide impact, high risk, and with significant scope, cost, and benefits
Lead the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant challenges companywide, delivering highly complex, analytical, and modeling solutions that are long term, large scale, broad reaching
Demonstrate vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and resolution
Provide model development, complex business analysis, developing analytical strategies, and complex projects
Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding complex companywide strategies that significantly influence the organization's business and financial operations
Engage with peers, managers risk, compliance, managers companywide, and serve as an expert advisor to leadership team
Required Qualifications, US:
10 years of Analytics and Reporting, Financial Modeling, Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
3 years of SAS experience.
5 years of SQL experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with Customer Remediation, Audit Validations, Applied Statistics, Database, Automation or Regression testing.
Analytical methods used in statistical analysis, modeling, and reporting.
3 years of Teradata experience.
Knowledge and understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) and performance measures.
Quality control review experience.
Ability to work cohesively and collaborate with analytic functions throughout the organization.
Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
Ability to mentor or manage less experienced staff, interns, and external resources.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Education: Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling.
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
