Description
The Director, Strategy Advancement leads initiatives to analyze complex business and clinical problems and issues using data from internal and external sources. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function. Decisions are typically related to intradepartmental coordination, development and implementation of strategic plans, and business and clinical outcomes, and develops and implements strategic plans for the scope of management that are aligned with the Segment or Business strategy.

The Director, Clinical Strategy Advancement provides strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. The Humana Military business is focused on clinical transformation with a vision to become a clinically leading organization. In order to achieve that vision, the Office of the CMO is expanding its capabilities for clinical strategy and innovation. This individual will be a critical hire, responsible for intra-departmental coordination and leadership across business functions to support the development and execution of a clinical strategy and priority initiatives to advance HGB strategic goals in value-based care, population health, market integration, and clinical quality. The Director, Clinical Strategy Advancement requires an in-depth understanding of how payer-focused organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide.
Responsibilities
Responsible for intra-departmental coordination and leadership across business functions to support the development and execution of integrated clinical strategy and priority initiatives to advance HGB strategic goals in value-based care, population health, and clinical quality.
Support the alignment of clinical, network and market operations at corporate, regional and market levels to ensure effective execution of the organization's ability to achieve high-value care and clinical quality and population health outcomes.
Represent HUMANA GOVERNMENT BUSINESS, INC. in clinical issues to DHA, subcontractors, and parent company through presentations, meetings, and reports.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree
5 or more years of management experience
3 or more years of deep experience in strategy/management consulting, an understanding of payer and/or provider operations, population health, and quality, and familiarity with government healthcare programs
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical Background
Prior experience from Bain, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) or McKinsey
Federal Government Contracting Experience
