What is the role?
The “data coach” role requires a hybrid skillset combining business consultant skills along with data visualization, information management and workflow automation skills. The following activities are the typical playing field of the role:
Build trusted business relationships at our Manufacturing sites working closely with the business to acquire domain knowledge and identify opportunities to turn data into insight that enables better decision-making.
Deliver Data & Analytics knowledge sessions at the site to improve adoption of Data Visualisation and Analytics tools
Guide, advise and support Citizen Developers to build optimal solutions on the MS Power Suite – provide tool consultancy as well as education on publishing/IT processes and security-compliant data access
Work with counterparts at other sites to increase replication potential of these solutions across sites
Deliver prototypes in support of Data & Analytics and Workflow Automation Ideation - Deal with large data sets from disparate sources often in different formats; cleaning, merging and consolidating them appropriately – identify and facilitate where more expert IT capability is required
Identify Citizen Developed solutions and business managed applications that would benefit from support from IT or even full transition to IT
Support the business in the implementation of the organizational Data Strategy
Support the site on Sharepoint activities by routing opportunities and broader issues to the right experts in Shell IT.
There is huge value to unlock from better use of data within Manufacturing – it is identified as a key component in staying a competitive business. This “data coach” will support the business at the sites in unlocking that value.

Requirements:
What we need from you
The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate / possess most of the following skills / attributes:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
An active TWIC card or the ability to get TWIC card ( https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic ).
Bachelor Degree required.
Minimum eight (8) years of corporate IT experience, preferably as a Business Analyst or in IT Service Development/Operations.
IT background or business background with strongly developed IT skills.
Interest and ability to understand the business strategy, value drivers, processes and challenges and to use this to identify opportunities for IT to drive greater business value.
Previous experience identifying and maturing business IT opportunities with the ability to shape those opportunities into project proposals
Proficiency in app development and data visualization – proven experience with the Power Suite (PowerBI, PowerApps, MS Dynamics, Flow,…) or equivalent tools required.
Information Management and Sharepoint knowledge.
Excellent communication and influencing skills and a strong collaborative approach.
