Infosys is seeking an Infrastructure Data Center Architect. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with multiple Project Managers, Infrastructure and Application Architects, Client Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts on large transformation program. Essential Job Duties involve designing, implementing, and driving large Data Center, Cloud & Infrastructure Transformation program. The Infrastructure Architect needs to bring in best practices for design, planning and implementation of VMware and Storage technologies such as VCF, VSAN, 3PAR, EMC VPLEX. The consultant will also need to design and plan for disaster recovery solutions using technologies such as VMware Site Recovery. Key responsibilities will be Build, Migration and consolidation programs. Work with Architecture and Application teams to create the Design, Execution strategy and Implementation plans to accomplish the target state of the transformation in best possible manner and time.

Required Qualifications

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Salt Lake City, UT or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education

At least 11 years of Information Technology experience

At least 10 years of experience in Solution designing for Data Center architecture at Customer premises.

Experience designing disaster recovery solutions.

Develop solutions, proposal, effort estimation and presentation for DC design Compute, Storage and backup solutions

Develop Architecture, high level and low level physical logical DC, storage and back design drawings and design documents.

Ensure technical solutions meet the needs of business such as flexible, cost, performance, and security; Develop Data Center architecture and plan the direction of the platforms.

Provide design level support to Virtualization & Infra implementation team for project delivery and problem resolutions during the environment build

Liaise with internal technology partners and external vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration to ensure solution completeness

Key Competencies:

ESXi, vSAN, VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation), VMware NSX, VMWare vRealize Suite, VMware Site Recovery

Converged Infrastructure such as Hitachi, HPE Synergy, 3PAR, OneView, Pure Storage, HPE SimpliVity

Hands on experience on vRealize suite, VMware VCF, Site recovery.

Knowledge on Integrations of various infrastructure components – Compute, Storage, AD, Identity Management platform, Log Collection

Knowledge on designing Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC) based setup using VMware or Microsoft

Liaise with internal technology partners and external vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration to ensure solution completeness

Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Design, Planning and Implementation: Create DC Build, Migration plans, schedule, program scope, requirement to design mapping, effort estimation, resource planning, status reports.

Leverage the MSA structure to review the SOWs / work orders to understand the commitment / expectations

Reviews: Conduct design and architecture reviews with relevant stakeholders to identify / manage gaps and mapping them to the technical requirements. Conduct technical reviews with team members/ stakeholders for issues, tacking and closure

Review and monitor all phases of the project (requirements gathering, design, architecture, build, testing, implementation, warranty) on a regular basis and suggest corrective actions.

Provide support and guidance on the individual projects to Project Managers and facilitate seamless integration of various pieces in the overall Program

Risk Identification: Identify risks at the beginning in partnership with Project Manager.

Understanding on automation technologies such as ansible, vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator – Good to have

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
