Senior Director, Strategy, Aon Growth VenturesAon Growth Ventures (AGV) leads Aon’s Innovation at Scale strategy by addressing the global macroeconomic trends impacting clients for which few, if any, insurance, and risk management solutions are effectively in market. AGV identifies the trend and creates a strategy and solution roadmap to address the unmet client need. Each area of investment (Growth Accelerator) is led by a designated leader who is responsible for the vision and strategy of their team. In this role, the Senior Director will partner with Growth Accelerator Leaders, the business, and AGV leadership to define and improve our Growth Accelerator strategies to help identify opportunities for solution innovation and development. The Senior Director will also work closely with the Solution Development Leader tasked with overseeing a team of Product Owners to evaluate, test, and build minimum viable products.Aon is in the business of better decisionsAt Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look likeThe Senior Director will lead a team of Strategy consultants who drive discovery, conceptualization, and business case design for new Solutions in the market. Partner with Growth Accelerator Leaders to define and translate growth strategies into solution development concepts and prioritiesCollaborate with subject matter authorities across Aon, clients, and various partners to drive discovery and ideation to feed the product development processSupport and oversee the evaluation and assessment of client need, total addressable markets, and design of initial solution conceptLead a team of Directors, Consultants, & Analysts to execute on sprint consulting initiatives in support of AGV and/or Growth Accelerator strategiesCollaborate with Growth Accelerator Leadership and Product Development team to define product development priorities and pipelinePartner with Growth Accelerator Leaders and the Solution Development team to create and implement an annual product development roadmapMaintain a pipeline of near and long-term initiatives to support Growth Accelerator strategy development and executionSupport the Head of Strategy in defining the broader Aon Growth Ventures strategic direction, including vetting and exploring future Growth Accelerators for the organizationLead Strategy team resourcing, capacity planning, and initiative scopingPioneer new thinking, tools and techniques to enable Aon to deliver higher value, scalable client solutionsLead all team members and mentor junior team members to support the professional development of key innovation talentHow this opportunity is differentOur business-building methodology brings together the flexibility of a start-up with the resources and experience of a corporation.
