As a Senior Consultant, you will report directly to the Director. Aon’s Risk Advisory Services practice, as part of Aon Global Risk Consulting provides integrated solutions to help clients understand and improve their risk profile to increase profitability, protect their interests, and provide valuable insights to support decision making. Our services include:Climate Risk AnalyticsOperational Risk QuantificationInsurance Program Modeling and OptimizationEnterprise Risk ManagementThe Senior Consultant – Risk Advisory Services serves as a trusted advisor it clients on the delivery of risk advisory and risk quantification projects across a range of enterprise and emerging risk topics. The Senior Consultant is expected to prepare and present proposals in response to RFP’s, lead quantitative modeling projects, deliver and report findings to clients, build relationships with Aon account executives and coach clients on adopting best practices. The Senior Consultant will also be expected to develop a specific area of knowledge and become a recognized subject matter expert in that area. The position requires an expert in Risk Advisory consulting (including risk assessments and risk management framework development) with a strong appreciation of broader risk transfer and analytics to advise clients on complex issues and to gain the confidence of both clients and the Aon network.Your Impact as a Senior ConsultantJob Responsibilities:Focus on leading client facing delivery activities providing Risk Consulting to a variety of industry verticals with a focus on Financial Institutions in the United States and Canada. Help build a risk advisory practice strategy for delivery to US and Canadian clientsUse significant external contacts to build a brand at Aon in credit and operational risk that is second to noneHelp develop and execute a strategic plan for the Risk Advisory Services practice focused on maximizing revenue growth and profitabilitySupport the development and execution of an effective revenue generation and marketing strategyDrive product innovation for climate risk, cyber risk, operational risk, credit risk, and emerging risk servicesYou Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Experience:5 years quantitative risk experience, preferably in a consulting capacityExperience conducting climate risk stress tests of bank lending and investment portfoliosExtensive experience with building or validating risk modelsHigh level of knowledge with modeling in industry standard statistical platforms, such as SAS, R, Python and MATLABDelivery of analytics through development of insightful data visualization reports, in Power BI or TableauDevelopment of bespoke statistical or machine learning models for emerging or novel risksAbility to conduct self-directed research into new methodologies and techniques that can be incorporated into our service offeringsProven experience leading and managing complex projectsAbility to act as a trusted advisory to clients on complex risk topicsAbility to work seamlessly with various Aon colleagues including, account executives, regional leaders and AGRC leadershipWillingness to work in a practical “hands on” environment in preparing proposals, reporting and presentationsEducation:Preferred: Masters or equivalent academic qualification and experience in statistics, actuarial science, mathematics, economics or financeMinimum: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in statistics, actuarial science, mathematics, economics or finance. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.  The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York.  The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.  The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
