The Consultant will have assignments working totally independently. Flexibility and a positive attitude are very important since the Consultant must accomplish individual and group projects under deadlines and other constraints on an ongoing basis. Work assignments are deadline oriented with frequent multiple assignments and problem-solving opportunities. Excellent communication skills are vital as the Consultant will provide direction for clients, staff and vendors as well as lead efforts to resolve problems and difficulties in a given project. Requires moderate periods of sitting and/or standing and extensive use of PC. May require local and/or overnight travel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Lead project planning activities for Wellbeing initiatives. Develop and maintain project plans and coordinate steps to achieve program objectives. Able to work through challenges and barriers
· Promote excellent client and department relationships. Seek input from and communicate to a diverse set of stakeholders. Able to navigate organizational systems, structure, and relationships.
· Serve as a resource for the acquisition and dissemination of wellbeing research, knowledge, and trends. Participate in grant acquisitions as needed.
· Provide direction for key stakeholders including council members, organizational leaders, external stakeholders, and vendors to resolve problems and difficulties within a given project. Understand differing stakeholder interests and tailor approach/communication based on audience.
· Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate meetings to further wellbeing initiatives. Prepare agendas, captures meeting notes, and follow up items. Communicate progress to all stakeholders and delegate items as needed. Provide reminders and drive urgency on outstanding items appropriately.
· Prepare deliverables; collect data and input to develop presentations and recommendations.
· Coordinates with other committees/task forces as needed..
· Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care. As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and other employees.
· Champion Carilion's mission, vision and values; comply with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree OR equivalent 8 years extensive experience required. Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 5 or more years of experience in leadership, consulting, vendor system or with payers required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: None Required
OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent oral and written communications skills, knowledge of business practices, positive attitude, self-motivated, ability to work with minimal direction, ability to lead, and adapt to change. Highly skilled in use of personal computers.
