Duties:
Manage the day to day supporting of existing of Covid-19 and conditions of public health significance databases
Provide technical leadership and expertise to support the
transition of the mission critical databases supported by the Bureau of Surveillance and Data Systems (BSDS) in the Division of Epidemiology from Oracle to Cloud-based platforms
Work with internal and external partners on extracting required data from various databases, streamlining data received from applicable vendors/labs, matching data sets and conducting analytics
Provide the technical expertise to quickly turn vague business requirements into technical requirements in support of data extracts.
Provide subject matter expertise for requirements gathering to determine data needs by various dashboards for Executive decision support.
Provide technical leadership to develop and maintain a technical solution for enhancing databases with appropriate spatial data as needed.
Manage and maintain data exchanges with Google BigQuery
Contribute to white papers as directed by leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years' experience
Bachelor's degree
Python and SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
Cloud based technical experience
Familiar with public health data use cases
Strong writing and communication skills
Master's Degree
