**Providence is calling a Process Improvement Consultant (Process And System Improvement, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. **In this position you will:**
Management and leadership of Lean support staff including coordinators, informatics personnel, facilitators, and instructors.
Oversees the development and certification of internal Lean facilitators and instructors.
Develops project plans, schedules, and road maps for process/systems improvement implementation and on-going follow up.
Facilitation of 5-S training sessions and 5-S Blitzes and Events throughout the organization.
Facilitation of Kaizen/Rapid Improvement Events throughout the organization.
Facilitation of Six-Sigma and/or other Lean oriented quality training and events.
Formalize and administer continuous improvement activities that will drive Lean methodology and Lean quality tools throughout the organization, including: Facilitating the development of value stream maps, identifying critical areas and value streams for improvement, continual prioritization of Lean events and activities, establishing improvement goals and objectives, scheduling events, measuring results, establishing standard reporting routines and auditing progress using Lean tools (ie A3s, PDCAs, etc).
Ensures that all levels of the organization are aware of available tools and successes in relation to lean healthcare initiatives.
Oversees and communicates customer/employee satisfaction tie in with process/systems improvement activities.
Participate with marketing and HR departments in communicating information and successes to the marketplace.
Serves as internal Lean Healthcare contact for outside consulting or benchmarking organizations.
Serves as primary internal Lean Healthcare and Process/Systems Improvement source that stays in forefront of industry on all related lean initiatives and trends, advising management according.
Will develop Lean and Six-Sigma training materials and will serve as primary training source for all Lean related activities.
Will serve as a facilitator, trainer, and advisor to all departments and organizations throughout company on all Lean Healthcare and/or Six-Sigma related activities; may also include participating in and/or leading improvement activities with corporate office, customers, vendors and suppliers.
**Qualifications:**
**Required qualifications for this position include:**
Bachelors degree in relevant field
Five years in a position directly applying lean techniques and quality problem solving techniques
Experience developing and delivering educational materials in a group setting
Strong computer skills with experience in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
**Preferred qualifications for this position include:**
Past experience in Lean, Six-Sigma, or Quality Engineering
Understanding of both clinical and non-clinical activities and processes within a healthcare setting
