Summary of Role
Our Value-Added Service, HR Partner practice is designed to support the needs of our Health and Benefits Brokerage Advisory clients with regional HR consultants whom provide high-level consulting, develop and maintain resources and tools and engage in tailored, curated solutions targeted to address our clients’ specific HR challenges.
As part of our Value Added Services team, this key “hands-on” contributor role will recommend and deliver HR solutions to help clients address a myriad of human capital challenges—whether it’s engaging the workforce, attracting and retaining top talent, creating a high performance work culture, or staying abreast of the ever-growing employment laws and regulations..
This role also builds strong relationships and promotes our services to maximize ways to help our existing clients and bring additional clients to our firm.
The Role Priorities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
HR Service Delivery
Provides high-level consultation, resources, tools and tailored solutions to mid-market H&B Brokerage Advisory clients.
Responds to client inquires related to HR issues and matters as well as advises them of services and solutions available to support their HR needs and challenges.
Presents HR consulting capabilities and associated technology and data solutions to clients, prospects, and client service teams.
Conducts and presents key findings related to HR best practices to clients whom engage in our HR Gap Assessment study.
Supports education of fellow HR constituents and clients by conducting seminars, workshops, and webcasts.
Develops/reviews content of Employer Guides and tools on subjects including but not limited to FMLA, Paid Time Off, Onboarding, Succession Management and Workplace Flexibility.
Proposes and manages client projects including paid time off and leave competitiveness/compliance and onsite client training. Prepares project plans, timelines, and budgets and leads execution. Finalizes and presents quality deliverables to the client in a timely manner.
Maintains first-hand knowledge about all of our products and services.
Client Relationship Management
Establishes strong relationships with client and sales teams and other national practices in order to deliver our value proposition.
Partners with client service and sales teams to implement HR initiatives that support client retention strategies.
Tracks and records all client activity in relevant databases in a timely manner.
Ensures client satisfaction with consultation and service provided.
Qualifications
BS/BA in Business Administration, HR or Finance with 8-10 years of experience in a consulting environment (corporate experience is a plus), particularly with middle-market clients. PHR/SPHR or other HR certification preferred.
Senior level HR expertise demonstrated through the deliverance of high-quality and thoughtful HR solutions aligned with organizational objectives, evaluation of potential issues and provision of appropriate HR recommendations to address such issues.
Knowledge of key HR disciplines including talent acquisition and management, employee retention and engagement, performance management, training and development. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, et al) and appropriate application to employee relations matters
Strong knowledge and ability to consult clients on state specific laws including but not limited to those related to harassment, paid leave, salary inquiries, etc. Specific, working knowledge on Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts specific employment laws (such as paid family and earned sick leave) required.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to give effective and engaging presentations to small and large client/prospect audiences.
Strong analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative). Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and web-based technology solutions. Ability to develop new tools and templates that can be leveraged using Excel and other software.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
Willingness to travel 40%-50% (and willingness to utilize web-based technology as alternatives).
