Aon is looking for a Manager, Investment ConsultingServe as the Manager to the Investment Consulting Pursuit team. This position will report directly to the Director of Wealth Solutions. This position will require strong project management skills, have the ability to drive change, have the ability to manage day to day workflow of the team, serve as an escalation point, and serve as a relationship bridge between the Sales Leaders, Consulting Teams, Compliance, Legal, and the proposal managers. ResponsibilitiesAbility to lead Aon’s most sophisticated and largest Investment Consulting proposals and finalist presentations while supporting team members on their projects by providing oversight and problem solvingAbility to provide support for any bid de-railing, motivating teams to move, pushing bids across the finish line; and taking care of urgent issues with compliance and legalConduct weekly production callConduct monthly touch base meetings with direct reportsConduct monthly training session with PAC IndiaServe as daily liaison for Pensions & Investments Subscription CenterConduct weekly touch base meeting with Director of Wealth SolutionsActs independently, with minimal / occasional direction from the Director of Wealth Solutions and ensure escalation as needed to the DirectorLead and assign/distribute projects to team, ensure deadlines are met, quality is consistent and adherence to departmental guidelinesDemonstrate strong resolution skills, acute attention to detail, accuracy, creativity and self-motivationSupporting the director in operational duties, often as a backupServe as a primary trainer to new associates onboarding to the teamServe as an expert for our content management team to ensure the latest content and graphics are being managed and reviewedDemonstrate strong project management skills and an ability to balance workflow across the team, ensure deadlines are met, quality is consistent and enforce to brand guidelinesDevelop relationships and serve as an escalation point with key stakeholders across the Wealth Practice, Compliance, Legal and Sales TeamsWork closely with leadership to supervise needs, concerns, and liaison for the proposal team in order to serve as an advocate and ‘sounding board’ for the national Pursuit and Creative TeamWorks on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangiblesExercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining resultsCreates formal networks involving coordination among groupsRepresent Aon’s brand strategy internally in order to persuade and influence othersDrive PaC NA’s initiatives as defined by leadership within Investment Consulting teamDevelop flexible processes and tools to support different levels of needs in a fast-paced, environmentProvide performance management feedback to team members (goal setting and review)Skills/Experience:Understanding the industry and practice businessDemonstrate experience coaching and inspiring team membersAbility to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams on multiple projectsDemonstrate ability to prioritize projects, keep commitments, and consistently deliver highly effective bidsSelf-initiative and desire for continuing professional growth along with the acquisition of new skills and expertise to meet the challenges of a competitive marketplaceAbility to articulate and follow Aon policies, procedures, and best practicesDemonstrate success aligning strategies with client needs, budgets, and goalsPositive and expansive attitude, serving as a proponent of the future state structure and ability to execute the required change managementRequirements:Minimum 8-10 years professional work experience in bid management required investment consulting industry experience requiredPrior management experience strongly preferredSignificant background in the development of proposal responses and strong editing skills requiredAbility to manage multiple sophisticated bids simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, meeting all deadlinesExperience providing strategic direction to account teamsAbility to learn quickly and show flexibility to adapt in a growing group, working both independently and with a team mentality (required)Use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective waysSophisticated knowledge of Proposal Management Software (SharePoint, Loopio, etc.) strongly preferredSophisticated Word, PowerPoint and Excel knowledge requiredEducation:Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields in communication required; Master’s degree preferred We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
