Aon is looking for a Sr. Mergers & Acquisitions Consultant As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our M&A and Transaction Solution group within Aon Risk Solutions, in New York.Your impact as a Sr. Mergers & Acquisitions Consultant Job Responsibilities:Lead health and benefit due diligence projects on US based companiesUse internal and external sources for client and industry researchCommunicate internally with actuaries, analysts, client service teams and AMATS team members; externally with private equity firms, target companies or their representative and other advisors, and carriers.Write due diligence reports, white papers, proposals, presentations, newslettersProvide ongoing relationship strategic direction to private equity clients.Work with and assist originators in establishing relationships and developing opportunities.Be viewed as a thought leader (creative thinking and innovation); proven credibility (knowledge/trust) both externally as well as internallyCommunicate and capture the value that Aon brings even to our clients.Lead client presentationsSome travel requiredYou Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Experience:Ability to work on multiple projects at one timeProject management – coordinate activities and information flow from a group of people within specified time frameDetail orientation, but ability to draw conclusions and see big pictureCommunication (written and oral) – ability to communicate well and at the appropriate level with a wide range of people Ability to perform under stress / tight time framesAbility to develop relationships / build confidence of others (both internally and externally) based upon work performedFinancial – should have basic understanding of financial statements, and accountingStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to perform under pressureResults orientedProficiency with Word, Excel, and Power PointLife, Accident and Health Insurance license or willingness to acquirePreferred Experience:Seven to ten years of health and benefits experience preferredEducation:Bachelor Degree in related field; JD or MBA optionalWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
