We are currently looking to fill a role to support our client’s Cisco Unified Communications project. This project is currently projected to take 5 years to fully implement.
The role will be within our client’s IT IS Operations - L2 Network Operations team and provide operational support for their Cisco Unified Communications project. This person will be working with the Engineering group to understand design and provide Operational feedback. They will be providing support during both the project rollout as well as ongoing support. While working with the Engineering group they will be making sure what is being designed is in line with Operations expectations and is supportable.
Requirements:
Cisco Unified Communications experience – configuring and supporting
Operationally focused with the ability to develop and document processes and procedures
Strong vendor management skills
This person should also have basic overall knowledge of network infrastructure to understand the whole picture of the project rollout and continued operations support.
It would be helpful if the person also has experience with rolling out a UCC solution and cutovers from a Nortel based PBX system.
Some of the primary responsibilities with this role will be:
Develop an operational support model
Manage project tasks during project rollout
Manage time to ensure deadlines are met
Manage and work trouble incident
Develop processes and procedures for future rollouts outside the scope of the project
The goal of this position is to bring someone onboard with Cisco Unified Communications experience as well as experience working to rollout new network services and can work towards project goals/deadlines while developing ongoing operational support models.
