The primary function of the Sales Consultant is to partner with the Account Executive during the sales cycle to understand the prospect’s/client’s business challenges, formulate a solution using Mitratech’s technology, and present the solution to the prospect/client via customized software demonstrations.
The Sales Consultant will become the subject matter expert for all Mitratech technology. The Sales Consultant will become a key influence (voice of sales) on product strategy, direction, and delivery. The Sales Consultant will become an industry subject matter expert in at least one of the primary industries into which Mitratech sells. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the Enterprise Legal Management, Contract Lifecycle Management, or Governance Risk and Compliance industries.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary solution consultant and technical contact for prospective clients and for new opportunities within existing accounts.
Conducts account and industry research to understand current trends and challenges. Develops deep industry insights.
Consults with prospects/clients to gather necessary information to tailor an effective solution demonstration, ensuring the proposal meets client business requirements. Leads deep dive discovery sessions.
Challenges prospects/clients in a professional, engaging way to think beyond current processes and build broader solution vision.
Maintains demonstration environment, configuring software as needed to support product demonstrations. Takes ownership of industry-specific demonstration environments.
Conducts in-depth product demonstrations, and assists in removing obstacles that may exist during the sales cycle. Effectively communicates the value of Mitratech’s solution.
Provides overview of current and future technology stack; communicating Mitratech’s advantages.
Provides overview of implementation methodology, support services, and other Mitratech offerings and services to communicate total solution value.
Shares best practices with sales and sales consulting teams; coaches less experienced team members.
Assists the Sales team in developing and responding to RFIs, and RFPs; assists in developing proposals. Can lead RFP response team when needed.
Assists in developing presentations and on-line product demonstrations for customer meetings or marketing events.
Travel required up to 50%, mostly consisting of short 1-2 day trips.
Requirements & Skills:
3-5 years sales consulting experience or equivalent skills development. Preferably in the GRC, CLM or ELM space.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science or Engineering discipline preferred.
Expert with Microsoft Office suite.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
Professional appearance and presence, able to interact with customers in a positive and professional manner.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to gain cooperation of others and lead teams.
Ability to work with cross-functional business and technical teams to provide quick and timely responses to prospects and clients.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills.
Highly motivated, hands on personality.
Exceptionally strong value selling and presentations skills.
Demonstrates expert knowledge of platform and point solutions and can demonstrate how they are integrated into one solution
Can handle multiple strategic demos with competing priorities and multiple routine demos simultaneously
Can challenge prospects with things beyond immediate requirements and is seen as an advisor
Coaches team when manager is unavailable
