Deloitte & Touche LLP seeks a Advisory Senior Consultant in Chicago, IL.
Work You’ll Do
Coordinate advisory teams comprised of domestic and international resources to provide consulting services to clients, focusing on risks and internal controls. Assist with engagement planning, organizing, budgeting, audit plan execution, and monitoring the audit plan. Assist clients with implementations, perform in-depth control assessments, document test requirements, and improve clients’ risk management and compliance organizations, including performing current state assessments, designing operating models, performing process documentation, suggesting remediation alternatives where necessary, and recommending strategies to advisory clients. Conduct financial statement audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404, SOX readiness, IT controls, SSAE18, SOC2, HITRUST, and LADMF audits. Utilize ERP and mainframe technologies, including Peoplesoft, Oracle Financials, Lawson, Invision, JDE, SAP, Windows, AS/400, UNIS/AIX, DB2, and MS SQL. Lead security configuration assessments and policy and procedure reviews, audit client platform baseline standards, and test platforms for numerous clients. Assist with designing and implementing technical and general computer IT audits, systems development, conversion, and application control reviews, including process and procedure documentation, control identification, test plan creation and execution, and executive reporting. Understand clients’ business environment and basic risk management approaches. Conduct design walkthroughs, information produced by the entity (IPE) generation, and audit analysis validation meetings with the client, including reporting detailed findings to help assess the level of reliability of clients’ IT systems and to ensure the effective operation of clients’ IT environments.

Requirements
Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Telecommunication Systems Management, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
Eighteen months of Information Technology auditing experience, including risk and controls experience.
Experience must include eighteen months of:
Drafting and reviewing reports for clients under SSAE18, PCAOB, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards;
Testing controls in accordance with Public Accounting Company Oversight Board (PCAOB), AICPA, SOX, SSAE18, and third-party vendor requirements;
Auditing IT controls including operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows) and databases (Oracle and MS SQL server);
Performing audit procedures in areas including access security, change management, and datacenter and network operations;
Performing pre and post-implementation reviews, including operational auditing;
Reviewing testing procedures according to PCAOB and AICPA standards and assessing their compliance;
Interfacing directly with clients to gain information and provide results and findings;
Leveraging ERP technologies including Peoplesoft, SAP, Oracle Financial Application, and JD Edwards applications; and
Mentoring and coaching junior staff members.
Position requires 50% travel.
