Aon has approximately 50,000 employees in 120 countries.Position - IND Sr Technical Consultant - Application Development (DevOps) Location -Bangalore /Delhi NCR Day-to-Day ActivitiesActs as a technical consultant, working independently or with others to deliver a solution that meets business needs while taking into consideration project risks, impacts, total cost of ownership, etc.Communicates technical concepts in an understandable way.Takes a role in the analysis, design (including prototyping), development, and deployment of complex business specifications, working with other members of the project team.Addresses readily changing and competing priorities and needs.Provide support, guidance and training to DevOps Engineers by acting as primary technical subject matter expert. Develops and maintains an ongoing and deep knowledge of relevant technologies, and research new technologies.Designs DevOps solutions for medium to high complexity requirements without direct guidance leveraging existing standards.Builds high-priority and high complexity systems according to functional specifications, detailed design, maintainability, and coding and efficiency standards without direct guidance.Accountable for estimating, evaluating risks, and technical task prioritization based on requirements.Actively partners with other IT teams and stakeholders to evaluate feasibility, ensure functional requirements are clear, concise, and complete, and drive quality project delivery.Identify opportunities enhance DevOps practices.Serve as escalation point for DevOps Engineers.Develop standards of practice for DevOps Engineers and ensures standards are being met.Creates, maintains, and publishes documentation without direct guidance.Support DevOps Engineers in Day-to-Day ActivitiesSupport day to day build, package, and deployment automationConfiguration updates based on incoming featuresRe-deployments based on incoming featuresMonitoring automation pipeline for failed builds/scripts/deploymentsPre-release preparation (removing locks, locking branches)Post-release preparation (Branch reconciliation/merging, unlocking branches, updating versions)Support Production Release effortsEvent logs/Configuration retrieval from servers in lower lifecyclesSkillsets for DevOpsLarge scale CI/CD pipeline management (Azure DevOps)Source Control Management (GIT)Scripting Language (PowerShell)Agile Project Management (Scrum)Cloud Infrastructure (Azure PaaS & IaaS)Virtual Machine OperationsCode Quality Tooling (SonarQube)SAST Tooling (CheckMarx)TeamCity / Octopus Deploy   2510615,qualifications:UNAVAILABLE,responsibilities:Aon PLC is a British multinational professional services firm that sells a range of financial risk-mitigation products, including insurance, pension administration, and health-insurance plans.
