Role Description:
The Consulting Team Lead and Professional Services Business Consultant will report to the Business Consulting Manager. This individual will be responsible for a team of consulting resources supporting software implementations and customization work for our clients. He or she will ultimately be responsible for the success of their team’s engagements and professional development. In addition to team leadership, The Consulting Team Lead and Professional Services Business Consultant partners with clients and other members of the Aderant team to help leading law firms and professional services firms optimize their business by implementing Aderant software solutions. As the subject matter expert for the Aderant solution, the Business Consultant will capture and document client business requirements, disseminate best practices, and work throughout the project life cycle to help configure the Aderant application and assist with testing and application acceptance and adoption.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of consultants ranging in level from Associate to Sr Principal Consultant in the implementation and customization of Aderant’s software products.
Support the Performance Management process with the services team; including activities such as goal planning, professional development, and annual reviews; ultimately responsible for team motivation, retention, career planning
Provide thought leadership in helping to expand and refine service offerings and drive productivity initiatives such as knowledge sharing and consulting best practices.
Identifies individual and team skills, gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, conferences, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
Responsible for managing the day to day activities of a team of individual contributors that includes, but not limited to, timesheet compliance, resource productivity and project bookings
Will also have direct responsibilities for software implementations as a business consultant over client implementations, and directly partner with client teams to successfully roll out the solution across the client and drive adoption.
Advise clients on the implementation of best practices utilizing Aderant software.
Gather, analyze, and interpret Client business information and requirements.
Encapsulate and implement Client requirements with Aderant’s software.
Advise clients in the application of their requirements within the Aderant software product to address key business processes.
Provide client guidance during application testing activities.
Lead client product training.

Able to travel to client sites as required
Skills:
A minimum of 7 years’ experience delivering software solutions
Team leadership experience preferred
BA/BS in a technical, business administration, information technology preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
