Job Description:
As a result of Salesforce being positioned strategically as part of our application portfolio going forward, a Centre of Expertise (COE) has been established with the mandate to
deliver value to the business bottom line through the use of Salesforce technology
define & maintain architecture, delivery & operate standards, processes & tools
manage the commercial relationship with Salesforce.
A new role is being established as a Functional Consultant in this COE. This role will be the focal point for the COE in the Houston IT Hub. This role will report to the Salesforce COE Value Workstream Lead and will have the following responsibilities:
Responsible for working across the Shell Group to shape and drive key strategic opportunities identified by the COE that will create business value from Salesforce
Go-to person in the COE for Salesforce functional expertise
Working closely with IT teams and the business to help them understand how business problems and opportunities can be addressed with Salesforce solutions and create roadmaps to document and enable this
Responsible for accelerating the setup of Salesforce natural teams in each area of Shell, helping these teams organise to drive value from Salesforce
Remit to generate and promote new ideas for Salesforce use in Shell, for example by leveraging new or existing features of Salesforce, or by configuring app prototypes on the Salesforce Platform
Working with the COE LT to push the Salesforce agenda across Shell as part of its refreshed IT Technology strategy where Salesforce is positioned strategically
Working closely with IT Managers, IT Advisors and Business Analysts to educate them about how Salesforce can be used to drive value in the business areas they are responsible for
Playing a mentoring role to several nominated Shell individuals to help position them for roles in the COE going forward
Work across the Shell enterprise and across the full suite of Salesforce products

Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum five (5) years’ functional experience working directly with a broad suite of Salesforce products.
Previous experience in multiple Salesforce functional lead roles
A commercial mindset coupled with a strong interest in the business
Ability to shape and translate a technology enabled vision into delivery of successful business outcomes
Ability to build strong collaborative partnerships with a range of both business and IT stakeholders
Ability to build high performing IT natural teams aligned around driving greater business value
Resilience, courage and the willingness to challenge and manage business expectations
Strong creative skills and a willingness to learn and experiment
Experience using Agile methodologies and ways of working
Experience Design or Human-Centered Design experience would be desirable
Multiple Salesforce Certifications, strong knowledge of the Salesforce platform and product offerings
