Aon is looking for a Consultant, PathWise Solutions GroupAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Reinsurance Solutions, in Toronto, Ontario. As a Consultant, you will report directly to the Managing Director of PathWise Solutions Group.PathWise Solutions Group (PSG) is part of Aon Reinsurance.  PSG provides high productivity computing software, consulting services as well as advisory services to financial intermediaries, primarily insurance companies. PSG’s high-performance software platform, PathWise™, provides companies with the ability to easily model financial obligations without involved coding and is run on Graphical Processing Units (GPU), making it the fastest, readily available software platform currently in use in the insurance industry.   Job Responsibilities: Development ServicesCreate Macro-hedge toolbox on reserve and capital for US and Canadian companies based on appropriate regulatory standards, such as VM-21 and Solvency-IIBuild and maintain financial asset models for use in balance sheet projections of financial services companiesDevelop and maintain Economic Scenario Generators used in the valuation of financial assets and insurance liabilitiesFurther the development of robust processes for hedging, strategic asset allocation, scenario generator calibration, insurance company financial reporting, etcParticipate in the expansion of PathWise functionality as the need arises or as requested by clientsOnboarding ServicesSupport the development of models and processes for companies moving into PathWiseProvide hands-on training for PathWise usersDevelop standalone training reference materials for PathWise usersIdentify shortfalls in company processes and propose improvementsTroubleshoot issues as they arise during PathWise migrations, focusing on providing a strong initial user experience  Business Development SupportParticipate in demonstrations to potential clientsDevelop models specific to client requirementsParticipate in industry, academic and internal research projectsDevelop and deliver presentations on emerging issues pertaining to the insurance industry and the financial services industryAttend industry and client conferences You Bring Knowledge and Expertise Required Experience:University degree in a quantitative or related discipline (actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, or computer science) is requiredPython/R/Matlab Scripting programming experience is requiredComfortable with local economic scenarios generatorsFamiliar with stochastic-on-stochastic simulations for Life Insurance products with embedded financial guaranteesExperience working in insurance industry in a pricing/hedging/valuation roleExperience working with financial guarantees embedded in life insurance products a plusDerivatives knowledge a plus  We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.  Our Colleague Experience: From helping clients gain access to capital after natural disasters, to creating access to health care and retirement for millions, Aon colleagues empower results for our clients, communities, and each other every day.  They make a difference, work with the best, own their potential, and value one another.  This is the Aon Colleague Experience, defining what it means to work at Aon and realizing our vision of empowering human and economic possibility.
