We are well on our way to make this a reality and are looking for someone that can join our team who shares this vision and has the passion and experience to execute. You will be a thought leader in the vision, approach, and all aspects of our network services at Tyson to ensure that investments generate the highest value. You will partner with other IT solution teams to provide coaching and insight to network related technologies both on premise and in the cloud. You will have a blend of strong technical acumen with cloud and on-premises technologies and the ability to communicate and mentor others across the organization. You will strive to learn and understand the most current network technologies and capabilities to find the best opportunities for Tyson to leverage technology to drive our transformation.
Responsibilities:
Define and establish the overall global network strategy and solution design, standards, and project management for the network area
Focus on solution design and project execution with day-to-day operations managed by a service provider
Manage all related vendor support contracts for hardware, software, and connectivity
Align cross functional leadership teams and key stakeholders across the organization against a common vision and approach and roadmaps for network technology
Facilitate complex problem-solving sessions with the extended technology team to realize network solutions
Partner with industry leading technology companies to understand their product roadmaps and capabilities
Desired Skills and Experience:
A passion and curiosity for network technology and the ability to drive continuous improvement across the organization
10 years of relevant consulting or industry experience, with proven ability to build relationships with senior business and technology leaders
3 years of experience in cloud-based network solutions and implementation for mid to large size organizations on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area
Practical experience with modern network operations including experience designing for resiliency patterns with site reliability engineering, security, and network optimization
Excellent oral and written communication skills, a bility to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical team members.
Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally with customers, peers, and management.
Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
