Profile
Position is focused on developing Cisco centric Unified Communication strategies and architectures.* Candidate will perform a broad range of tasks related to successful UC design and implementation including but not limited to:
Network architecture review
IP telephony readiness assessment
Telephony current state analysis
UC solution design
BoM development
System implementation
Knowledge transfer to customers as well as internal team
Design and As-Built documentation development
Candidate will be required to stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies and manufacturer technology offerings.* Position is highly collaborative and candidate will be expected to work to closely with national and international peers as well as develop and maintain lasting client relationships.* Candidate will also be expected to develop skills and understanding of multiple industry leading manufacturers Unified Communications solutions.
Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Additionally, exceptional ability in client management, issue resolution and troubleshooting is required.
Required Qualifications
******** Minimum of four years of related IP telephony design / implementation experience including:*
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX)
Cisco Unity/Unity Connection
Voice gateways and protocols
H.323/SIP/MGCP/SCCP
PSTN circuits (PRI, T1, SIP, analog, FXO, FXS)
SIP experience required
Cisco Telepresence (preferred)
Cisco Tandberg (preferred)
Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE) (preferred)
Cisco Emergency Responder (preferred)
VMWare 5.x (preferred)
UC on UCS (preferred)
Minimum of three years of related experience in network environments including:
Network engineering (hardware and software)
Network security practices and
Design, plan and implement LANs and WANs
Routing and switching
Quality of Service
IPv4 and VLANs (IPv6 a plus)
Working knowledge of Cisco firewalls (preferred)
Other general telephony skills desired include:
Coordinated dial plan analysis and design
Cross vendor and E.164 a big plus
Microsoft Lync 2010/2013
Avaya telephony products (CM, Aura, Contact Center, etc.)
Nortel telephony products
Education and Certifications:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or 5 years IT experience
Certifications
Active CCIE (Voice) certifications is strongly preferred or equivalent experience
Active Cisco Voice Specializations are desired (CCVP or CCNP Voice)
