Aon is looking for a Consultant / Senor Consultant to ijoin our Professional Services Practice team. About Aon Commercial Risk Solutions’ Professional Services Practice (PSP) Aon’s Professional Services Practice provides global insurance broking and related advisory services for the professional indemnity and other insurance programs of large, international professional service firm clients (accounting firms, law firms, consulting firms, and design firms), working alongside colleagues in offices located in London, New York, Bermuda, Chicago, Montreal, Radnor, and elsewhere globally. As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Professional Services in Montreal or Toronto.For more Information: ****impact as P&C Actuarial ConsultantJob Responsibilities:Connect with global clients, both internal and external to Aon; and prepared to occasionally lead technical discussions in client meetings Developing industry and firm-specific loss profiles for professional services firms, including the modelling of severity and frequency distributions, using our repository of large professional services firm historical loss information.Lead the review and analysis of individual firm and general industry assumptions used in resolving loss profiles for professional services firms (accounting firms, law firms, consultants, and design firms).Run frequency/severity Monte Carlo simulation models to arrive at actuarial funding/pricing requirements, using various assumptions and approaches.Support brokers by forecasting encouraged premium, including a review of program structure and proposed reinsurance arrangements.Run simulation models to arrive at stochastic reserving estimates, using various assumptions and approaches.Lead and prepare premium funding and reserving reports for client captives.Lead, develop and refine financial modelling tools (dynamic financial analysis, capital modelling including Solvency II).Provide coaching/mentorship, personnel management, and peer review for analysts on the team.You Bring Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired Experience:Required Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in a P&C actuarial role.Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.Strong interpersonal skills. Experience as an effective teammate.Must clearly demonstrate proficiency for attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize work.Prior management experience is considered an asset.Experience with VBA, R and/or @Risk is considered an asset.Education:Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or similar relevant field.Successful completion of CAS Exams is required (FCAS or ACAS).We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
