The Technical Solutions Sales Consultant is responsible for increasing revenue through developing new client sales based on CDO’s defined capabilities and solutions.
Focus on business development through targeted out-bound sales efforts.
Aggressively pursue and qualify new clients.
Identify customer needs and offer solutions through the company's products or services.
Serve as a liaison between the company and the client to ensure positive results.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Technology Solutions Sales Consultant will report to the Director, Commercial Solutions. The individual’s primary focus will be on business development through identifying, prospecting and engaging customers. Must be a “hunter” with the desire to build new business
Must have a strong, pro-active, independent mindset prepared to take ownership and initiative
Must be a strategic thinker who can execute operationally
Must be detailed, well-organized and flexible
Must be an avid listener, capable of interpreting needs as well as receiving constructive feedback
Must be self-motivated – A strong participant on cross-functional teams
Must have excellent communication skills, ability to champion initiatives and successfully articulate point of view both in writing and verbally
Willing, ready and able to start reaching prospects through traditional out-reach methods, regional events, and “Sales 2.0” strategies.
Job Requirements :
The individual must be an energetic, self-starter who will take an active role in using strategic methods to reach decision makers. From creating a positive phone presence to meeting face-to-face, the individual must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Individual will consult with internal resources to evaluate customer requirements and develop tailored proposals that ensure customer satisfaction.
Functional Skills & Experience:
3-5 years sales, advertising, marketing or public relations experience or the educational equivalent.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel
Experience with SalesForce.com (or similar CRM) a plus but not required
Strong strategic and conceptual abilities coupled with a strong work ethic
Proven track record of revenue growth
Sound judgment, critical thinking skills, and ability to manage expectations and collaborate cross-functionally
Experience selling IT Services and/or Auto ID/RFID solutions preferred.
Education Qualifications:
BS in Marketing, Business or related discipline.
