Job Description:
Network Technical Consultant (NTC) in ITSO’s Services and Enhancements Programme drives a consistent set of global Telecoms standards, architecture, design practice, as well as services and operations across Shell businesses. It provides telecoms design, assurance and consulting services to capital and non-capital projects globally to ensure standard, fit-for-purpose, cost-effective and supportable solutions are deployed. Telecoms covers all the telecommunication and networking facilities for assets in all Business (Upstream, Downstream, P&T). It comprises communication (networks) to the assets (fiber, microwave, VSAT etc.), as well as solutions in Application Access (Remote Access, Proxies, Firewalls, etc). NTC also provides the design review, assurance and consulting services for the enterprise network solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
Acts as the focal point for TaCIT, IPPD and SOM Project Managers to manage project demands and transition to support
Ensures requirements and specifications are developed into robust telecom solutions from a design, operability, and maintainability perspective
Works closely with Architect and Product Portfolio Management teams to offer innovative and cost effective telecoms solutions to our businesses
Provide telecoms design, assurance and consulting services. Provide content to the Solution architecture.

Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent work experience
Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in leading and executing Telecoms project delivery, Telecoms operations, or IT consultancy assignments to design, develop and deliver viable network and telecom solutions. Previous engagement with capital project is plus
Broad understanding of the Upstream, Downstream and Projects & Technology Businesses
Significant experience in Telecoms/Networking technologies, services and operations, including related Field Telecoms technologies
Ability to translate technical requirements and specifications into easily understood business concepts and vice versa
Knowledge of Shell IT controls design and management framework and practices
Proven Stakeholder management and Communication skills
Excellent leadership skills, able to lead and motivate internal team and wider Field Telecoms community to deliver business values
