JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a friendly Computer Consultant for
our small and growing company which supports small businesses and home
computer users in the greater Houston area. If you are passionate about
helping people with their computers, like traveling around the city
to customer sites and working out of your home, then this is the position
for you. If you have worked in a corporate environment and would like
a change to a smaller organization where your strengths are acknowledged
and you are celebrated, we would love to talk with you. Must be a team
player. Gray hair welcomed.
Typical jobs you will perform:
Hardware -
Installation, troubleshooting and repair of PCs, Macs, servers, networks, printers, tablets, and smartphones.
Software -
Installation and troubleshooting of Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, Office and other software, virtual Exchange Servers, e-mail and backup systems. Also virus/spyware removal, general cleanup and computer optimization.
Networking
- Installation and troubleshooting of wired and wireless networking including routers, switches and repeaters.
Training
- One-on-one training on hardware, software, or networking at customer request.
JOB LOCATION
Our office is in the 610 and
290 area; however, you will be based from home. We will set up your
home computer and your smartphone to login to the CRM system and get
your daily schedule.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be personable and communicate well with customers
Have over 2 years of relevant computer support experience
Microsoft and/or CompTIA certifications or equivalent
Mac experience a plus
Pass a background check
Must have a reliable car
Nonsmoker
PAY AND
BENEFITS
Hourly commission. Range is $30,000 -$40,000 per year

Training and certification reimbursement.
