Our client, one of the largest professional services firms in the world, is now seeking to hire a skilled Senior Consultant/Manager
to join their team on a permanent
basis in Dublin, Cork or Limerick
The role is offered as a hybrid.
About the role:
This role will suit candidates who enjoy technical discussions, scientific writing, and are confident in their ability to analyse and clearly communicate complex information. The position will further provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to develop an understanding of the financial and technical aspects of business, as well as the impact of the R&D Tax Credit Regime on businesses. You will be tasked with project management and internal team management. This will include engaging with clients to ascertain the potential eligibility of their activities for the purposes of the R&D Tax Credit Regime.
What you will do:
Be involved in all aspects of an R&D Tax Credit claim.
Examine client operations and processes to determine which qualify for tax incentives, developing the appropriate methodology to claim those activities and the methods to maximise those incentives
Plan, organise and execute of the technical portion of engagements, including interviewing of technical and financial personnel
Manage the internal team assigned to the engagement, including timelines, budgets, etc.
Assess R&D expenditures, time and activities involved within all of the projects
Prepare all necessary technical documentation as required by legislation and Revenue Guidelines
Work with the client to help them develop their systems and know-how to assist in making future claims
Client assistance in certain discussions / audits that may arise with the Revenue Commissioners
What you need:
Minimum 1-2 years' R&D experience in the area of Computer Science, Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or related disciplines
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines, 2.1 result preferably
Experience in the area of R&D tax credits, R&D grants, or similar
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)
Demonstrated report writing and presentation skills
Ability to quickly absorb and understand numerous technical concepts and translate these into technical reports
Knowledge of the R&D tax credit regime would be useful but is not essential
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Advanced skills in MS Office environment (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook), familiarity with the MS Office 365 suite would be advantageous
