As a Technical Consultant at Summa, you will be an important contributor in solving some of the most complex and highly visible business/ technology issues for our clients. The Technical Consultant, an integral part of our Core Delivery team, will participate in delivering a variety of software solutions in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
Job Duties:
Provide Software Engineering Development consulting services, either at the client's location or at the Summa office, by participating in the solution development, implementation and project closeout at customer sites.
Apply advanced programming techniques to develop robust, medium-to-large applications
Work independently within the customers environment
Demonstrate the ability to quickly and routinely solve complex problems independently
Understanding of the full application lifecycle from inception through maintenance
Lead in the development of software or web based product features in selected programming language .NET 4.x/ C#, implement functionality, unit testing, Model View Controller and Data Access Layer
Provide software architecture research and recommend/ implement the approved design.
Required Skills
Software design experience (able to participate in the design and understand their role)
Solid understanding and development experience with C#, ASP.NET
Strong communication skills
Software architectural experience
Strong coding practices and proficient in primary Stack experience (Java)
A sense of curiosity and problem solving skills
Eagerness to jump into a variety of work and technology
Preferred Skills
Possess Multi- platform/ languages (Java, C , or others to compliment experience)
Experience Required
5 years experience in web and/or client server application development
Preferred Experience:
MVC
WCF
Nunit
Test Driven Development
Work experience with relational databases and web application servers
Agile/ Scrum experience
Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly
Willingness to learn fast with a roll-up-the-sleeves and get the job done attitude
Work well in a team environment
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related. Master's preferred.
Experience may be considered in lieu of completed Degree.
