Our Health and Benefits business helps large and mid-size clients control health and welfare plan costs, improve health outcomes and promote employee engagement through broad-based, state-of-the-art interventions. The Role
Our HR Partner practice includes dedicated HR Consultants, with varying background and depth and breadth of expertise, who provide solutions and tools designed to support your human resources strategy and maximize your investment in human capital.
We provide high-level, best-practice guidance; develop and maintain resources to help take work off your desk; offer research, analysis and data to keep you aligned with HR best practices and trends. In addition, we offer several options to provide client specific consulting, best practice guidance and project work targeted to address specific HR challenges.
As part of our Value Added Services team, this key “hands-on” contributor will recommend and deliver HR solutions to help clients address a myriad of human capital challenges—whether it’s engaging the workforce, attracting and retaining top talent, creating a high performance work culture, or staying abreast of the ever-growing employment laws and regulations. This role also builds strong relationships and promotes our services to maximize ways to help our existing clients and bring additional clients to our firm.
Responsibilities:
HR Service Delivery
Proactively works with clients and recommends HR solutions that are in line with business objectives. Works closely with HR leaders and key decision makers to gain support.
Presents HR consulting capabilities and associated technology solutions to clients, prospects, and client service teams. Conducts and presents key findings of HR Effectiveness Reviews (aka HR Gap Assessments/Audits) through thorough analysis and application of appropriate HR knowledge.
Proposes and runs client projects including Paid Time Off Analysis, HR Gap Assessments and Onsite Client Training.
Prepares and conducts seminars, workshops, and webcasts, for internal and external presentation in an engaging and effective manner.
Develops/reviews content of Employer Guides and tools on subjects such as Paid Time Off, CA Leave of Absences, CA Laws and Employment Guide, and Workplace Flexibility.
Conducts market pricing for clients seeking compensation data, based on industry, geography, and other applicable factors.
Prepares project plans, timelines, and budgets and leads execution. Finalizes and presents quality deliverables to the client in a timely manner. Maintains first-hand knowledge about all of our products and services.
Client Relationship Management
Establishes strong relationships with client and sales teams and other national practices when engaging in HR consulting; collaborates effectively.
Partners with client service and sales teams to implement HR initiatives that support client retention strategies; keeps all team members informed of key interaction and projects.
Tracks and records all client activity in relevant databases in a timely manner.
Ensures client satisfaction with consultation and service provided.
The Requirements
BS/BA in Business Administration, HR or Finance with 8-10 years of experience in a consulting environment (corporate experience is a plus), particularly with middle-market clients. PHR/SPHR or other HR certification required or in progress.
Senior level HR expertise demonstrated through aligning the delivery of HR services to integrate with organization objectives, delivering high-quality and thoughtful HR solutions, evaluating potential issues, and making appropriate HR recommendations to address.
Knowledge of key HR disciplines including compensation, talent management, employee retention and engagement, performance management, training and development. Strong knowledge of employment law (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, et al) and appropriate application to employee relations matters.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to give effective and engaging presentations to small and large client/prospect audiences.
Strong analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative). Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and web-based technology solutions. Ability to develop new tools and templates that can be leveraged using Excel and other software.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
Willingness to travel 40%-50% (and willingness to utilize web-based technology as alternatives).
