Description
The Senior HR M&A Professional researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations on compensation matters related to potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures during due diligence, integration, and post-integration. The Senior HR M&A Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. This position will report to the Associate Vice President, Compensation and although M&A will be a primary focus, there will be opportunities to lead other compensation projects and duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
The Senior HR M&A Professional makes recommendations regarding the impact of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on the organization's associate experience, culture and profitability across the compensation team (e.g. Executive Compensation, Short Term Incentives, Long Term Incentives, Compensation Programs, Recognition, FLSA, Technology, Change, Communications, Education). Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. Examples of due diligence activities include: reviewing seller documentation, assessing risks, preliminary job mapping, costing analysis, and creating a retention strategy. Coordinates integration and post integration activities across compensation workstreams for small to medium acquisitions. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years of collective M&A and/or Compensation experience
High execution with ability to developing project plans, and track and monitor risks
Strong relationship building/partnerships, influence, and working with various levels of leadership
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to identify lessons learned and process improvements in real time to support continuous HR M&A and Compensation infrastructure
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
3 or more years of experience within a Consulting firm
Previous experience with integration
Working knowledge and can speak to Change in Control Agreements, as well as Employee Agreements
