Profile
Infoscitex, a DCS Company, is seeking a full-time mid-level modeling and simulation (M&S) engineer to perform multi-domain M&S for the early and iterative evaluation of system-of-systems concepts’ effectiveness in operationally relevant scenarios. You will help the Government mature emerging technologies for the future of sensor autonomy solutions to support the ISR community.
Essential Job Functions:
Be responsible for working closely with software developers, engineers, and system architects to integrate many loosely-coupled, tightly-aligned software services for end-to-end testing in a simulation environment.
Create and refine scenario-based models, using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM).
Facilitate and strengthen the digital link between model-based systems engineering (MBSE) architecture representations and M&S tools.
Provide hands-on technical leadership and work closely with diverse organizations and user communities to build and refine operationally relevant scenarios, understand key interface standards, obtain relevant test data, document assumptions, and capture critical metric data to inform early development decisions.
Support system-level integration, test and evaluation to inform design decisions.
Capture and communicate sensor requirements and ensure quality of deliverables.
Coordinate taskings with team and enable rapid iteration of designs.
Ensure successful execution and delivery of government deliverables.
Abide by regulations and adhere to DOD/AF/AFRL/ARS standards.

At least a BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, , Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, and at least 5 years of related experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with advanced degrees or varied levels of experience may be considered for alternative classification.)
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information: at least an Active Secret with ability to attain TS/SCI.
Experience developing and integrating physics-based models into simulation frameworks.
Analytic simulation experience in AFSIM.
Proficiency in C , C#, Python or other object-oriented programming languages.
Experience designing, developing and integrating physics-based models in AFSIM.
Experience with extending and improving AFSIM using custom plugins.
Experience with implementing Continuous Integration (CI) and Test infrastructure for ongoing validation of simulations and/or simulation components.
Experience in campaign-level, mission-level, and engineering-level modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Experience with version control software such as Git, SVN, Mercurial, or other similar tools.
Experience modeling multi-domain systems-of-systems concepts.
Experience modeling various aspects of a kill chain to include find, fix, target, track, engage and assess.
Basic knowledge of aircraft, A/A weapons, operations, communications, command and control, network topologies, sensors, data correlation and fusion processes and algorithms, and electronic warfare.
Relevant technology expertise and ability to adapt to environment limitations.
Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills and the ability to translate customer technical needs into technical specifications.
