King & Spalding, a leading global law firm, seeks a Trade Consultant.u00A0This position supports the International Trade practice group by providing expert knowledge in U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty filing and Administrative Protective Order (u201CAPOu201D) regulations and procedures. This position works closely with the Trade groupu2019s lawyers to manage the APO compliance program, provide technical review of proprietary and public filings to ensure conformity with agency and court rules, and provide training and supervision of team members. Eligible employees may participate in King & Spaldingu2019s comprehensive benefit program including health and wellness plan, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts and a health savings account, a 401(k) plan, profit sharing plan, discount programs, and a substantial Paid Time Off (PTO) program.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Oversee and manage the Trade Group's U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty cases by ensuring timely completion of all filings in accordance with applicable agency and court rules; monitoring agency and court dockets; maintaining accurate case schedules and group-wide filings calendar; ensuring APO compliance; and supervising the paralegal support workloads in conjunction with the Paralegal Manager. Review proprietary and public filings to ensure conformity with agency and court rules; prepare requests for proprietary treatment and advise attorneys and consultants regarding application of APO regulations, treatment of business proprietary information, and compliance with the APOs; review cite-checking and tables of authorities. Manage Trade Group's APO compliance program: Oversee and implement best practices on a group-wide and firm-wide basis; Train Trade Group lawyers, consultants, paralegals and support staff, staff of functional areas within the firm (copy center, records department, IT administrators), and outside consultants; Educate firmu2019s IT professionals on APO regulations and restrictions and work with IT team and firm managers to ensure firmu2019s technology and infrastructure support APO compliance; Communicate with government agency APO/docketing staff; and Execute required documentation at all stages of the proceedings.u00B7u00A0 u00A0 u00A0 u00A0 u00A0 u00A0 Conduct research and analysis related to antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings using ACCESS, EDIS, Court ECF systems, LEXIS/WestLaw, and internet sources.u00A0u00B7u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0u00A0 Draft administrative and procedural filings for submission to agencies and courts.u00A0EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum requirements for this position include bacheloru2019s degree and at least five years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm, government agency, or legal department.u00A0 Experience working in an International Trade practice in a law firm is preferred. This position will involve independent problem solving, high levels of multitasking, and keen attention to detail.
