We are looking for an experienced IT Consultant to join our Corporate Business Interface. The Business Interface acts as the thought leader and trusted IT advisor to our Corporate portfolios. This includes a wide range of Corporate businesses, including a.o. Real Estate, Security, Health, Travel and Aircraft. In this role you will primarily be focusing on our Real Estate and Security business, however you might look at opportunities in other business areas as well.
What’s the role?
The purpose of the IT Consultant is to enable value delivery through fit for purpose and cost-effective IT capabilities with engaging user experience, whilst partnering with Corporate businesses to establish a competitive long-term system landscape, supporting the Corporate digital transformation.
As an IT Consultant, you will engage with stakeholders across Real Estate and Security to look for and shape new opportunities together with your business stakeholders. You will listen for and capture the future IT needs of the business and you'll align them with the overall strategic direction. You will follow both the market trends and the IT Technology trends and use this in your opportunity framings and play this back to the IT Consultancy team and your natural team consisting of Business and IT stakeholders (point of views, papers, article summaries).
Your key accountabilities for this role include:
Develop business opportunity framings with the relevant stakeholders. This includes understanding and aligning to the Corporate strategy, develop the business case, defining the business value, providing high level cost, resourcing and project plans, identifying alternative solutions and risks.
Research and keep track of relevant external business and IT developments as input for IT Opportunities in the Real Estate and Security domains.
Bring the external lens to both Business and IT: continuously scan the market for latest market standards, best of breed solutions, IT & Business trends and write internal papers and newsletters, supporting the Corporate strategic direction.
Secure stakeholder support and buy-in through demonstration of value and quality of IT Consultancy skills and approach.

What we need from you?
We’re keen to hear from IT Consultants who have a bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably related to Information Technology. Beyond that, we'd hope to see as many of the following on your CV:
Strong experience in Strategy/Consultancy work of which much in IT/related areas.
Consultancy experience within the Real Estate and/or Security domain and associated products is desirable.
Knowledge and awareness of different models, tools and methods in the consultancy world.
Able to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across Real Estate, Security and within the HR IT organisation.
Customer centricity and drive collaboration across businesses with persuasive communication, presentation skills, facilitation skills and strong stakeholder management skills.
Awareness of wide-range of IT/digital technologies and drive clarity on how IT generates businesses value for Shell.
Harness creativity of others and self to generate new approaches (like Design-thinking) to solve highest priority problems.
Understand what our customers need (immediate and long term) and focus on delivering innovative solutions.
Ability to solve a wide range of problems and issues arising in business development projects without being a subject-matter expert.
Working virtually with clients and interacting with multiple stakeholder Getting work done through others.
Manage & support decision-making with incomplete data or ambiguity at times.
Demonstrated evidence of enterprise first values and behaviours supported by strong leadership attributes will be considered during the selection process.
