What's the role?

The Network Delivery Manager will be the head of Shell’s retail petrol stations network development in Hong Kong and Macau, in charge of the retail network development team consist of the planning, engineering and real estate functions.

Some of the key accountabilities of this role are:


Formulate the long-term strategies for Shell’s retail petrol stations network development in country, and devise multi-year capital investment and retail network expansion plans
Support any new investment opportunities within and outside of the Shell’s retail petrol stations network, and act as the gate keeper to the business long-term bottom-line
Responsible for in-country’s CAPEX deployment, and allocate timely and adequately on acquisitions (e.g. land); asset improvement and other retail fuels related business ventures (e.g. alternative energies)
Supervise the valuation and business case formulation for any targeted investments, and guide subordinates and service providers on implementation and on carrying out the necessary due-diligence
Interface with senior internal stakeholders out of country, and to secure approvals on project funding
Responsible for in-country’s OPEX budget related to Shell’s retail petrol stations portfolio, including property rents, fees to the Government and service providers, and initiate saving programs as needed
Manage Shell’s appointed service providers to ensure effective delivery under the Master Service Agreement (MSA), and to ensure adherence to Shell’s business principle and health & safety standards

Requirements:

What we need from you


Bachelor’s degree in business / finance / law, with a minimum of 10-12 years professional experience in management consulting or in retail development roles and with at least 3 years in supervisory capacity
Chartered RICS / HKIS surveyor, with experience in property investment and development and with in-depth knowledge in local town planning, land admin and building matters
Strong business acumen and financial knowledge, with CPA / CFA designations a plus
Experience in deal sourcing, due-diligence and is skilled in contract negotiations, with track records in closing unconventional asset investment / divestment and merger & acquisition transactions
Track records in Government advocacy in Hong Kong and Macau, with experience in liaising with Town Planning Board, Lands Department and Building Department a plus
Strong vendor management skills, particularly in managing performance based contract (e.g. MSA and SLA); with experience in driving service providers’ delivery through key performance indicators
Some knowledge of the energy / oil & gas / transportation industry but not a must
Excellent communication, interpersonal and business partnering skills
IT literate: Advanced user of MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word
