The ideal candidate has an interest in learning or expanding their expertise in the business of healthcare insurance as an internal management consultant that supports clients through strategic and operational challenges. You will join a team of high performing consulting professionals who have supported and managed projects in Medical Trend Strategy and Analytics, Risk and Underwriting, and Sales and Marketing to name a few. The team's portfolio of projects is always evolving and is a function of the needs of the Commercial Group and Military Business Segment. Responsibilities
Additional information about the role: The Senior Enterprise Transformation Professional on this team primarily serves as a business consultant, which may encompass the following tasks (not an exhaustive list):
Develops and proposes frameworks to solve complex business problems. Gains alignment from business leaders on a project path that will ultimately achieve the objectives of each project. During the course of a project, the consultant may have to: analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources; bring expertise or identify subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret, and produce recommendations; apply a holistic lens toward an analysis to assure business capabilities, policies, or procedures are optimally aligned with the vision of the business segment; collect data to determine root cause of organizational problems; survey and analyze best practices that can be scaled across the segment; complete cost and benefit analyses as needed to justify investments or recommendations of solutions; diagram and evaluate existing organizational design or processes components; ability to effectively communicate and engage with senior leadership
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
4 or more years of business experience
1 or more years of project leadership experience or equivalent
Ability to develop frameworks to guide leaders and stakeholders through complex organizational problems
Strong business and financial acumen
Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word and excel
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport at all levels within the organization
Ability to interact with and defend position with senior management
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving the business model
Ability to perform with independence
For candidates who live outside of Louisville: 20-30% travel per month to Louisville with overnight stay required.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Experience in healthcare services
Six Sigma and/or lean certification
Experience with Microsoft Project and Visio
Experience with Tableau or Power BI
2 or more years of management consulting experience
Good working knowledge of data base structure (e.g. Enterprise Data Warehouse) and data mining tools (e.g. OBIEE, SAS, SQL, TOAD, etc.)
