Our Education Consulting practice serves as accounting support to K-12 School Districts, County Offices of Education, Charter Schools, Community Colleges and various public education entities throughout California. Our primary practice operates throughout California.

Job you will do
Typical Day in the Life
A typical day as a Consultant might include the following:


Oversee education sector client accounting engagements and special studies
Assist clients in meeting accounting deadlines for financial and budget reporting
Provide professional advice and written reports related to accounting and business functions Proactively identify and strengthen client talents to improve client performance and solve problems
Communicate complex financial information to clients, presenting a multitude of easily understandable options, and doing so in a manner that allows clients to make an informed decision
Stay aware of general business trends or issues in order to professionally represent and apply this knowledge to the client's solutions, potentially developing new or additional business for the Firm
Develop, train and mentor advisory staff
Attend professional development, networking events and training seminars
Who You Are
· You take pride in helping others, and you are ready to take on the challenge of collaborating with a team of high-performing individuals


· You have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels of Firm management and staff, clients and other external business contacts


· You are a team player and love helping others succeed


· You are a multi-tasking master, and there has never been a deadline you could not meet


· You possess strong technical accounting and Microsoft Excel skills and have experience with accounting software


· You hold yourself to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality


· You enjoy learning about various client business processes


· You appreciate that as of March 2020, our practice operates 100% virtually for all client engagements and Eide Bailly interactions. However, should the marketplace or client needs require, you would enjoy traveling to different locations to help clients


· You have at least 5 years previous experience in public, private, and/or government accounting, and directing and reviewing the work of others


· In addition, you have a Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Accounting or an MBA; CPA certification is preferred


· Experience as a California K-14 Director of Fiscal Services (Chief Accountant), County Office of Education Internal Business or External Business Accounting and/or Government accounting managerial is ideal





Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
