Profile

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Implementation Consultant (cum Project Lead) who has 2 years’ of demonstrated experience in controlling projects in a formal project environment.

The ideal candidate will have business and/or client facing experience with an aptitude for the delivery of our cutting-edge SAAS technology based projects. You will be directing multiple Flexible Benefits projects which include elements of technology implementation, employee communication materials and scheme consultancy. You will typically be working in cross-functional teams delivering projects for our strategic clients in the APAC region.

The successful candidate will have a hands on approach to project delivery, be able to capture business requirements, transform these to the technical (system) requirements and perform configuration of technology.

Performance Objectives:

Excellence

• Project Management:

o Project management of our corporate clients in the APAC region

o Analyse and define business and system requirements, recommends solutions to improve the clients' business processes

o Identify and escalate risk and issues in order to ensure optimum client deliver experience

o Lead status review meetings and calls among project team members and clients

o Ensure business requirements are controlled in accordance with the agreed project scope

o Perform system configurations to meet business requirements. Where necessary, work with internal team for more complex system configurations.

o Identify and recommend contingency measures in conjunction with the project team

• Work with Regional Technology Lead on pre-sales support where necessary:

o Provide system demo to client prospects and display good depth of functional knowledge. Organizes, manages, and plans client due diligence, when required.

o Providing technical support on contractual discussions, ensuring administrative scope is clearly documented within this SOW and costed.

• Support the up keeping of demo environments and interfaces:

o Provide impact and feasibility of change requests as technology subject matter expert.

o Perform configuration and testing to support change requests to demo environment and interfaces.

o Prepare / update deliverable templates (used to support the on-going governance of demo environments and interfaces).

• Work with Regional Technology Lead to contribute to continuous improvement of our delivery methodology through sharing of internal lessons learnt.

People Management

• Leads by example and maintains a collaborative spirit and strong relationships at all levels.

• Train, coach and mentor junior Implementation Consultants in all aspects of software delivery (client requirements, configuration, QA, UAT, deployment and post deployment support)

• Advise team members to accomplish project goals, to meet schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues.

• Promote effective team communication

• Promote a positive workplace environment

Financial

• Determine, monitor, and review all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, resources, and risk.

• Ensure minimal project scope creep, raising change requests where appropriate.

• Identify and manage out-of-scope work and manage budget impacts

• Utilize standard work processes, tools, and methodologies to improve quality and profitability

The Requirements

Qualifications:

• An undergraduate degree in information technology, information systems or computer science is required

• 2 years’ demonstrated Implementation Consulting experience in managing medium to large projects on remote delivery model basis

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Demonstrated proven project, leadership and stakeholder management skills are essential;

• Previous experience in managing the delivery of HR Information System will be an advantage;

• Excellent English communication skills are essential (verbal and written); Mandarin communication skills will be an advantage;

• Effective time management, analytical and problem solving skills;

• Ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency;

• Ability to exercise tact and good interpersonal skills;

• Ability to read, understand and communicate requirements documentation;

• Be a self-starter, a highly motivated person able to work in a fast paced project environment

• Competent in project and office software including MS Projects and MS Office projects;

• Proficiency in Visual Basic programming will be an advantage;

• Ability to travel (5% - 20%, dependent on project) across Asia Pacific region, when required
