Business Consultant Jobs description
A business consultant generally works for a consulting company and advises clients on business improvement, business reengineering, customer retention, overall operations, and strategic management. The typical duties of a business consultant include working closely with clients to evaluate their project performance expectations; ensuring value addition to clients' businesses; responding to requests for proposals; supporting the analysis, planning, and evaluation of all projects; and providing product lifecycle management and collaborative demand forecasting. The role requires consultants to perform opportunity assessments and business case analyses while assisting on compliance with various standards.Consulting companies which operate internationally and provide services to MNCs and other large corporations may hire a business consultant, senior business consultant, lead consultant, wealth management consultant, IT consultant, or tax consultant. Business consultants may need to have Lean and/or 6 Sigma certification, in addition to knowledge of business process reengineering and requirements analysis. A qualification in total quality management (TQM) tools may also help. Applicants for such jobs should be ready to travel frequently.
