Profile

The Business Process Analyst provides support by analyzing existing processes, identifying gaps, identifying areas for improvement, and developing the appropriate reporting for each gap identified. The position will focus on operational improvements across the finance and accounting department. The analyst will start with accounting processes and may evolve to other departments within the firm. The employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive projects.
Essential Job Duties:
•Breakdown assigned projects into doable actions, creating a project timeline with milestones and due dates
•Document and analyze current and future state processes and system interfaces to identify process improvement opportunities aimed at increasing process quality and efficiency
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process, application, or feature enhancements
•Keep all stake holders updated on project timelines, due dates and outstanding items
•Act as a liaison between process improvement and internal clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
•Identify and resolve any project issues or risks that arise
•Create, control, and improve end-to-end business processes
•Coordinate with relevant internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure programs comply with critical organizational and business requirements
•Build solid working relationships that instills collaboration across the organization to ensure successful outcomes for the organization
•Obtain needed resources from different functional teams and subject matter experts to implement process solutions and ensure operational readiness success
•Maintain process documentation to be utilized by the function being supported
•Create and/or implement communication materials (i.e. FAQs, Step Action Charts, Metrics) to socialize and operationalize new programs and or processes
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree required
•1 years of experience with management/finance consulting
•2 years of business analysis experience and solving customer problems
•Knowledge of basic Accounting processes and procedures. i.e. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Payroll, General Ledger
•Experience with business analysis, project management, operations, or process management
•Ability to learn organization policies and procedures and ability to apply principles to solve everyday problems in a variety of situations
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
•Ability to work independently as well as on a team, excellent verbal, and written communication skills with individuals at all levels of an organization
•Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of assertiveness in performing work responsibilities; solid problem solving, organizational, time management and team building skills
•Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume/demanding environment and maintain composure and professionalism and the ability to take initiative and be detailed in a goal-oriented environment
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to ever changing priorities
•Demonstrated problem-solving and solid analytical skills
•Proven ability to apply continuous improvement methods and cognitive thinking to comprehend, calculate results, analyze data and reason with stakeholders to problem solve and make educated business decisions
•Solid negotiation skills: ability to gain acceptance from others of a plan or idea and achieve a mutually beneficial outcome
•Ability to make decisions; work with minimum guidance; seek guidance on the most complex tasks
•Ability to be a creative and innovative thinker, flexible, open to change, and comfortable sharing ideas, positively accepting changes to planned strategies and giving direction to others
•Exceptional attention to detail and extremely organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
