Position Summary
: Provides systems administration support for SharePoint and other O365 applications. Typical duties include capturing user requirements; providing configuration, development, testing, quality assurance, software configuration management, design, and documentation for all SharePoint and O365 applications that are supported; build, deploy, implement, and train for all Microsoft O365 applications; upgrade per user requirements; and maintaining interoperability/integration between systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Software change releases are managed according to customers' documented procedures.
Production software change releases are completed accurately. Production software change releases are auditable.
All production releases are documented and all software change processes are completed.
Production software change releases are formally approved. All production software releases are formally approved by the application, system, or module owner.
Audit findings are resolved using the customers' documented processes. No repeat findings for same occurrences.
User account management performed in accordance to the customers' documented procedures.
Application outages are scheduled and communicated according to the customers' documented procedures and scheduled to minimize impact to programs
Support activities for Software Maintenance and Development include:
Applying Software releases to production within a schedule coordinated with product owner and/or Federal managers.
Ensuring Software releases applied to production follow software configuration management processes and procedures.
Providing ongoing IT Administrative Support Services for existing SharePoint sites
Providing ongoing development, configuration, testing, Quality Assurance (QA), deployment, and training support for both existing and new SharePoint sites
Providing ongoing IT Administrative Support Services for existing O365 applications
Providing ongoing development, configuration, testing, Quality Assurance (QA), deployment, and training support for both existing and new O365 applications
Working with IT, functional staff, and Federal managers on requirements definition and design.
Developing solutions with a COTS first approach. Leveraging standard functionality of COTS systems unless proven business value gained by customizing.
Ensuring software and hardware configuration management procedures are followed.
Providing updates into the incident management system on assigned tickets in accordance with current guidelines.
Providing required data into other automated administrative systems to meet management reporting requirements.
Communicating plans and status of projects and tasks as requested by project managers.
Assist end-users with business requirements for their collaboration-based solutions and create the appropriate information architecture, taxonomy and solution approach.
Create training materials and present a variety of trainings and seminars to small group.
Provide expert advice to project teams and end users on use of Microsoft applications for their requirements and use cases
Work with cross functional teams in support of existing or future software products.
Utilize ITIL and Agile methodologies.
Understanding of Cloud software, services and platform development and management.
Support tickets are opened and closed with the appropriate documentation.
Perform application account management.
Monitor and tune application performance.
Monitor, manage, develop and configure application workflows and processes.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Certifications:
Experience configuring and administering Microsoft SharePoint sites and functionality
Experience developing and supporting solutions with Microsoft O365 applications: Power Apps, Power Automate, Planner, Teams, OneNote, etc.
Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) to process user requests and manage break-fix tickets
Experience with designing and developing data models and data architecture for Microsoft applications
Experience with performing business analysis and documenting user requirements.
Experience working with end users to identify and troubleshoot issues.
Experience managing and resolving break-fix issues from intake through retesting and closure
Experience working independently and with a team
Experience migrating Microsoft SharePoint sites from on-premise implementation to the cloud
Experience providing consultation to end users and customers
Experience integrating Cloud and on-premises software systems.
Knowledge and experience with web applications development.
Experience of application system administration best practices.

Work Environment:
Includes a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, including exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather conditions, and occasional environmental hazards. Local, regional, and national travel may be required.
